EO-based geo-information solutions to support agricultural monitoring

The EO4SD – Agriculture and Rural Development Cluster project supports programs and projects of International Financial Institutions and their local stakeholders in Latin America, Asia and Africa. The aim is to demonstrate benefits of EO-based geo-information products and services to support agricultural monitoring and management tasks.

GeoVille together with ESA and the EO4SD project partners produced brochures showing the background, objectives, Earth observation production implementation plan and capacity building activities in the target countries. These were provided and discussed with the international stakeholders and representatives of Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the UN world Food Programme (WFP) at a presentation day held at the ESA premises in Frascati in October 2017.
