The ESA funded project for the Development of Renewable Energy Potential Maps for the West Balkan Countries aims at
| (1) | providing local decision-makers with a simple and efficient tool to obtain information about sites suitable for the production of energy from renewable sources and |
| (2) | providing the European Environment Agency (EEA) with information where synergies in the production of energy from renewable sources can be obtained and where potential future conflicts between nature protection and renewable energies might be played out. |
