Exposure mapping of urban infrastructures - Mekong river basin

The service exploits very high and high resolution optical multispectral and SAR satellite imagery with field data to establish a cartographic database of urban infrastructure and building inventories including

• building footprints
• building material
• building location
• building height (number of stories)
• structure type
• floor area
• distance from building to building
• elevation height

The purpose is to build capacity for mapping the impacts for floods and droughts within the basin and ultimately to manage the sustainable basin development.
