The product delivers a 10-metre resolution, 11-class, wall-to-wall land cover dataset for the EEA38 and UK, with a 2-year update cycle. Utilising Sentinel-2 time series with a thematic accuracy of more than 90%, it provides accurate data for environmental monitoring, planning, and climate assessments.
CLCplus Backbone supports the EEA's Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) activities and aids in implementing environmental policies, including the EU's Nature Restoration Regulation.
