We are thrilled to share that GeoVille, in partnership with CLS, has been awarded a contract by the European Environment Agency (EEA) to update the Copernicus High Resolution Layer (HRL) Imperviousness for the reference year 2024!
Using high-resolution Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, the HRL Imperviousness provides consistent, pan-European land cover data, offering invaluable insights into Europe’s environmental status and its changes over time. These data support a wide range of applications, from urban planning to environmental monitoring.
The production phase for the 2024 update was kicked off in the second week of January, ensuring timely delivery to users. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to map and monitor Europe’s evolving landscape!
