Last week our colleague Florian Girtler attended a technical meeting for discovering the capabilities of the I-REACT multi hazard tool in Barcelona. I-REACT partners of Meteosim, UNESCO and ISMB where in charge of presenting the available set of tools against disasters during a workshop including the I-REACTOR that integrates the information coming from multiple sources, as well as the wearable technologies for first-responders.
Apart from demonstrating the I-REACT technologies, the workshop further involved listening to the needs and demands of all the stakeholders coming from Protecció Civil de la Generalitat, Bombers de la Generalitat, Bombers de Barcelona, technicians and personnel of the Agència Catalana de l’Aigua, Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya, Emergencias 112 from Murcia and Pau Costa Foundation.
After the last full-demonstration in Ipswich, the I-REACT team is going to showcase the technologies throughout Europe. The next date is at the beginning of November in Finland. Stay tuned for more information!
