Presentation of the Platform

The following data is collected every time the Platform is accessed:

Welcome to data.geoville.com (hereinafter "Platform"), an Earth observation platform operated by GeoVille Information Systems and Data Processing GmbH, based in Austria (hereinafter "Operator" or "GeoVille"). By accessing or using this Platform, you (the "User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using the Platform.

2. Definition of Service

The Platform provides access to Earth observation data and products, including geospatial data layers, visualizations, and analytical tools. Users may view, download, and interact with data layers for specific Earth observation purposes in accordance with these Terms.

3. User Account and Logins

  • Registration: To access certain features of the Platform, Users must create an account. Registration requires accurate information, including a valid email address.
  • Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. GeoVille is not liable for any loss or damage from unauthorized use of an account.
  • Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years of age to register. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this eligibility requirement.

4. Permitted Uses of the Platform

  • Users are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for lawful Earth observation and research purposes.

  • Restrictions: Users may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform’s content without prior written consent from GeoVille. Unauthorized use of the Platform's content is strictly prohibited.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeoVille, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use or inability to use the Platform, even if GeoVille has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • External Links: The Platform may contain links to external websites. GeoVille is not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party sites.

8. Termination and Account Suspension

  • Termination by User: Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting GeoVille. Upon termination, access to the account and any associated content will be revoked.
  • Termination or Suspension by GeoVille: GeoVille reserves the right to suspend or terminate User accounts for any violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the Platform without prior notice.
  • Effect of Termination: Upon termination, all licenses granted by these Terms will immediately cease. GeoVille may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to the Terms and Platform
