The European Environment Report - State and Outlook 2010 (SOER 2010) provides a set of assessments of the current state of Europe's environment, its likely future state, what is being done and what could be done to improve it and how global megatrends might affect our futures.

GeoVille Environmental Services has provided the analysis and maps for the thematic assessments “Land use” and “Urban environments” as well as to the SOER 2010 “Synthesis”. These contributions include information about mean soil sealing values for the EEA member states’ capitals and their distribution, respectively, the share of green spaces in European cities (based on the GMES Urban Atlas) and their relationship to green space in the cities´hinterland.
