Automated orthophoto interpretation

With RegioCover GeoVille has developed an operational processing chain for automated orthophoto interpretation, integrating COTS software from PCI Geomatica, eCognition and ArcGIS. RegioCover allows to efficiently produce and validate high-precision land cover and land use maps from images with 25 cm resolution for thousands of square kilometres. Classified land use maps are further processed with GIS-based post-processing algorithms with accuracies going beyond 95%.
